Spend a relaxing weekend in downtown Martinez watching chalk artists create colorful art in the plaza near Starbucks. 15 artists of all levels begin at 10am Saturday and continue throughout the weekend.

Non-artists and artists alike can try their skills at the Community Chalk area. Just $10 buys a box of chalk to keep and a piece of sidewalk as your canvas.

Throughout the weekend you can learn to play Bocce, shop for unique hand-made arts & crafts and listen to live music of all kinds while you enjoy a refreshing Italian Soda.

The event is produced by First Night Martinez. the alcohol-free, community, new years eve celebration of the visual and performing arts.
